D.C. Armenians Commemorate Genocide
WASHINGTON—Armenian-Americans from throughout the southern
Maryland, northern Virginia, and Washington, D.C. area
joined together on April 20 at the Soorp Khatch Armenian
Church Arabian Hall for the annual community commemoration
of the Armenian Genocide, hosted by the Armenian Genocide
Commemorative Committee of Greater Washington.

WATERTOWN, Mass. (A.W.)—On April 24, the Greater Boston
Committee to Commemorate the Armenian Genocide presented its
93rd anniversary ceremonies in the St. James Armenian Church
Sanctuary and St. James Keljik Hall.

Sisters Academy of
Radnor Remembers Genocide
“Our children are the answer to Shakespeare’s question: To
be or not to be?” said an inspired clergyman at the Armenian
Sisters Academy in Radnor, Pa., as he bore witness to the
youths’ resounding “to be!” 93 years after the attempted
annihilation of their race in the first genocide of the 20th
century.

Urges Vigilance Against Genocide in Capitol Hill Meetings
WASHINGTON—His Eminence Oshagan Choloyan, Prelate of the
Armenian Apostolic Church of the Eastern United States,
urged Members of Congress to speak with moral clarity about
the Armenian Genocide and to work to end the ongoing
genocide in Darfur during a full day of more than 20 Capitol
Hill meetings leading up to the April 23rd Congressional
Commemoration of the Armenian Genocide, reported the ANCA.

Boyajian Honored for
Bringing ADL Denial to Light
WATERTOWN, Mass. (A.W.)—On April 22, the Town Council of
Watertown bestowed a proclamation honoring investigative
journalist David Boyajian for bringing to light and to the
public’s attention the implicit Armenian Genocide denialist
policies of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and its
country-wide No Place for Hate programs.
Connecticut Armenians Commemorate Genocide
HARTFORD, Conn.—On Sat., April 26, over 120 Armenians
gathered at the Hartford State Capitol for a commemorative
service in recognition of the Armenian Genocide, reported
the ANCA-Eastern Region.

On April 24, a gathering of
approximately 50 gathered for a ceremony and flag raising in
front of Greenwich Town Hall in Connecticut to commemorate
the 93rd anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
